Gunmen Posing As NWC Workers Rob Residents In St Andrew
KINGSTON, Jamaica —The police are alerting St Andrew residents, specifically in the communities of Mona, Hope Pastures, and Cherry Gardens, that men have been posing as employees of the National Water Commission (NWC) in order to gain entry to homes and rob occupants at gunpoint.
According to the police, the reports, which surfaced this past week, indicate that a group of about three or four men travelling in a white Nissan Tiida or a white Honda Civic motor car have been carrying out the robberies.
The police are therefore urging Kingston residents to exercise caution when approached by unknown people claiming to be representatives of the NWC or any other utility company.
“If in doubt, call the police,” the lawmen advise.
