One Of Two Robber Held, Handgun Siezed

KINGSTON, Jamaica – One of two robbers was apprehended by police travelling along Half-Way-Tree Road, St Andrew, Friday, when the cops observed them attempting to escape in the area. While investigators remain on the ground on Half-Way-Tree Road, the police are reporting that about midday, at least two men robbed a woman at gunpoint at premises in the area, before attempting to escape. Security personnel were reportedly in pursuit of the men when the cops saw what was unfolding and intervened. One of the men was accosted, but another reportedly escaped in a waiting Nissan motor car. A handgun was reportedly taken from the captured robber. A handbag was also recovered. The police say more information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
