Over 1400 Pounds Of Weed Seized From Man At Kingston Port

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- A joint operation conducted by members of the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division (TCND), Jamaica Customs and security personnel, seized 1464 pounds of ganja at the Kingston Container Terminal (KCT) on Friday. The police say that about 3:25 pm a Toyota Townace motor truck was intercepted as the driver tried to access the facility. The vehicle was searched and the compressed weed, ready for export, was seized. The man was taken into custody in relation to the incident. His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
