Scean Barnswell the Chairman and Mayor of the May Pen has been charged following a ruling by Director of Public Prosecutions. Mayor Barnswell is charged for attempting to mislead the Contractor General during his investigations in the construction of several shops at the Spalding Market. The Mayor faces a fine of up to $5,000 if found guilty. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 8.
