Meteorological Service Says Tropical Storm Jerry forms in Atlantic

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Another Tropical Storm has formed in the Atlantic, the Meteorological Service has reported. At 5:00 pm Tuesday the centre of Tropical Storm Jerry was located near Latitude 28.1 degrees north and Longitude 43.5 degrees west or about 2095 kilometres east of Bermuda. ropical Storm Jerry is not a threat to Jamaica. Jerry is nearly stationary and a slow north-northwestward to northward motion is expected tonight and Wednesday followed by a turn toward the northeast on Thursday, the Met Service says. Maximum sustained winds remain near 75 km/h, with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.
