Police Uncover Car Stealing Operation In East Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- East Kingston police say that they have uncovered a car stealing ring operating from the eastern end of the capital city. Acting on information police swooped down on the Mountain View Avenue location Thursday where several scrapped vehicles were found. Many of the vehicles were completely burnt, the police said. "We suspect the criminals burnt the vehicle to hide evidence," said Deputy Superintendent of Police Hornet Williams, crime officer for the Division.
