Speaking yesterday to delegates at Mannings High School, Deputy Leader of the Jamaica Labour Party, Senator Dr. Christopher Tufton stated that contrary to reports in the media, he has absolutely no plans on leaving the JLP. Dr. Tufton stated that comments he made in the media were focused on the likely posture of any leader who emerges from the upcoming internal election. The JLP Deputy Leader added that if a leader emerged and took the approach to purge the Party of persons who he perceives not to be in support of his leadership then that could result in further internal divisiveness and electoral losses.

‘Absolutely No Plans To Leave JLP’ Says Mr Tufton
