ST ANN, Jamaica — Some vendors in the Ocho Rios market are counting their blessings as they sympathize with others who were affected by an early morning fire on Wednesday, October 9.
The fire reportedly started just after 7:00 am.
Four shops were completely destroyed while several others were partially damaged.
"It could a worst, the whole market could a burn down," one woman stated.
"We feel it still," another added.
Quick actions by the Ocho Rios fire department reportedly brought the blaze under control.
Some vendors who were affected said they managed to save some things with the help of persons present in the market at the time of the blaze.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
