A preliminary magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan the United States Geologicial Survey reported. The quake was centered 325km East Southeast of Ishinomaki, Japan with a depth of 10km. No tsunami warning was issued following the powerful earthquake. There have been
no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities.
