KINGSTON, Jamaica — Gunmen Friday morning engaged the police in a heated gun battle in the east Kingston community of Rockfort.
Police report that at about 6:00 am they went to a section of the volatile community and were attacked by criminals in the area.
"No one was injured in the attack," said police from the East Kingston Police Division.
Police say they will be maintaining a strong presence in the area.
