Jamaican woman remanded for Ganja possession in Barbados
Zollamay Kerrisha Smith a Jamaican national who has been accused of attempting to smuggle drugs into Barbados was remanded when she made her first court appearance yesterday. Smith has been charged with possession, intent to supply, trafficking and importation of Ganja. According to Barbados Police, Smith arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport sometime after 5 pm, on a flight from Jamaica. Customs officials then conducted a search on her luggage where they found a false compartment containing six packages of Ganja. The Jamaican was not required to enter a plea when she appeared in court and was remanded until November 14.
