VICTORY for #TeamJamaica as they captured the Caribbean Football Union Women’s Under-20 title after defeating Trinidad and Tobago 1-0 at the Anthony Spaulding Sport Complex last night.
Khadija Shaw scored the vital goal in the 13th minute to carry Jamaica undefeated in the eight-team tournament. Yesterday’s two finalists will now advance to the CONCACAF Women’s Under-20 Championships in the Cayman Islands from January 9 through 19, 2014.

The competition will include eight teams from across the region vying for the three spots in the 2014 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup, to be played in Canada, in July of that same year. The three qualifying teams will join a fourth CONCACAF nation, Canada which automatically qualifies as host of the World Cup.
