
The corruption trial involving former Junior Energy Minister Kern Spencer and his assistant Coleen Wright was again postponed today. The trial was postponed until October 8 due to the unavailability of Mr. Spencer's lawyer Deborah Martin is dealing with another matter before the Supreme Court. Presiding Judge Judith Pusey informed the Prosecution that the case must be wrapped up by November. Mr. Spencer and Ms Wright are both accused of corruption and money laundering in the distribution of the Cuban light bulb programme which was being implemented in 2006.
