Heavy Rains Lashed Grand Cayman

A low pressure system in the northwestern Caribbean triggered heavy rainfall over Grand Cayman yesterday leaving several areas flooded. According to officials just over an inch of rain fell in Grand Cayman between 7 pm Tuesday and 7 am on Wednesday morning. In its latest release the National Hurricane Centre stated that the system has now become Tropical Storm Karen.
