It Is All About The Party
KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Leader of the Opposition Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Andrew Holness is reiterating that regardless of the outcome of the present race for party leadership, it is the JLP that comes first.
Speaking at the Jamaica Observer Press Club forum Wednesday, Holness said although he is certain of victory, the structure and gains made by the JLP over its 70 years must be protected at all cost.
"I am not averse to a leadership challenge as the JLP is a democratic organisation and as such, I am ensuring that all the delegates in the party are enfranchised but at the end of the day, the party must win, the party's image must be protected," said Holness. "It is all about the party."
