The Caribbean Court of Justice delivered a landmark judgment today awarding Jamaica’s Shanique Myrie B$75,000 (J$3.6 million) damages to be paid by the State of Barbados. The CCJ in a media release says that it found Myrie to have been wrongfully denied entry into Barbados, subjected to a humiliating cavity search and unlawfully detained overnight in a cell and expelled from Barbados.
