Next Preferred Bidder In Energy Project

In a media release this morning the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) says it will today proceed to offer the second highest bidder Energy World International the chance to provide base load generating capacity to the national grid. The move follows the failure of Azurest-Cambridge Joint Venture Association to make the required posting of a security bid bond which represented 1 percent of the total investment cost of the proposed project. Azurest was given 15 days to furnish the OUR with the bond, after being named the highest ranked bidder. A copy of the OUR’s media release can be viewed above and/or downloaded in Pdf format.
