Trinidad’s capital Port-of-Spain and surrounding areas have been affected by a power outage this morning. The country’s main power provider Power Generation Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (PowerGen) confirmed that they were having “technical difficulties” at its power station in the capital. PowerGen says power is expected to be restored to affected areas by midday.
