Private Sector Organisation Welcomes S&P Upgrade
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) on Friday said it welcomed news of Standard & Poors (S&P) upgrade of Jamaica’s long-term foreign and local currency sovereign rating from CCC plus to B minus.
The PSOJ said that they are pleased with the progress being made under the International Monetary Fund agreement
The recent S&P upgrade has been attributed to a stabilising economy and better access to new external funding from official creditors.
