High School Boy Held With Gun Charged

A 15-year-old male student of Charlie Smith High School who was found with an unloaded .38 revolver has been charged with illegal possession of firearm. Unconfirmed reports are that some time last week a female student reported to school officials that a sum of cash was stolen from her bag. Upon the resumption of classes on Tuesday, all bags and belongings were searched and the weapon was reportedly found in the student's possession and he was later taken into custody by the police. The teen made his first appearance in the Family Court on Wednesday and he will return to court later this month.
