Mayor Of May Pen To Return To Court Next Month

Mayor of May Pen Scean Barnswell is set to return to the Corporate Area Court next month after he was charged with breaching the Contractor General’s Act. The Prosecution told the Court today that they need more time to prepare its case. A mention date was set on November 26 for the case. The Mayor who faces a $5,000 fine was charged after the Director of Prosecutions accepted the recommendations from the Office of the Contractor General’s findings into the construction of several shops at the Spalding Market that the Mayor sought to mislead the OCG.
