The US Embassy has issued a travel warning to citizens after reports of increased shootings and gang activity in the Mountain View and Rockfort areas of East Kingston. The release from the Embassy strongly advises American Citizens to currently avoid these areas, especially during the night. The Embassy has also advised its citizens travelling to the Norman Manley International Airport to avoid using Mountain View and use the alternate route to the airport via South Camp road.
