FOLKS DEMAND JAY Z CUT TIES WITH BARNEYS AFTER “SHOPPING WHILE BLACK”

Jay Z is getting major pressure to cancel a Christmas fashion line with Barney’s department store after two African Americans were racially profiled at the NYC store. Jay Z‘s exclusive Christmas line at the high-end department store is set to make millions — but after two cases of racial profiling in the store, a petition was created, urging Jay Z to cancel the line. Fans also Tweeted negative feedback to the rapper. Jay Z has gotten complaints from residents of his childhood Brooklyn neighborhood, saying that two cases of racial profiling at Barney’s should be enough for him to pull his Christmas line from the store. “Jay Z and my son grew up together,” said 74 year old Effie Hardy.. Effie still lives at the Bedford-Stuyvesant public housing project that Jay Z did. “That could be his family Barneys is profiling. They would’ve done the same thing to him back in the day, before he got to where he is now. He should remember that.” We toldya Kayla Phillips, 21, bought a $2,500 Celine handbag on Feb. 28 at the Madison Ave. store, and was stopped by police. “(Barneys) notified the police they had suspicion about this purchase and this particular card,” police spokesman John McCarthy said. We also toldya Trayon Christian, 19, was handcuffed by police after he purchased a $349 Ferragamo belt at the store on April 29. Since Kayla a pregnant nursing student, accused Barney’s and the NYPD of racially profiling her after making an expensive purchase, a petition has been signed by 1,500 people pressuring Jay-Z to reconsider his contract. She has filed a $5 million claim to sue the NYPD. He’s also set to decorate one of Barney’s NYC Christmas windows, and hasn’t spoken out about the backlash or profiling — yet
