US Urged To Reject Direct Flights By Fly Jamaica
The United States Department of Transport is being urged by Airlines for America to reject a request for a review and reversal of the decision by the US government agency to deny direct flights from New York to Guyana by Fly Jamaica. A letter sent by James Casey the Vice President of Airlines for America, called on the US Department of Transport to stick to its decision as Fly Jamaica did not provide any new information to back its case. Fly Jamaica's request for direct flights from Guyana to New York was denied on September 30 by the US Department of Transport and sees passengers having to in transit in Jamaica for flights to New York.
