Three Jamaica Police Take Stand in Vybz Kartel High Profile Trial #Update

Three police officers took the stand in the Vybz Kartel murder trial in the Home Circuit Court yesterday. The officers, Constable Avril Thomas, Superintendent Winston Henderson and Senior Superintendent Cornwall “Bigga” Ford, all gave testimony, where it was revealed that search warrants were issued for three residencies belonging to Kartel. At one of the locations 12 passports and ten cell phones were turned into evidence, however no evidence was found at the other two homes. During cross-examination, Kartel’s lawyer suggested that his client was paraded before the media to prejudice a fair trial for the entertainer, this claim was denied by the officers. A number of questions were posed to SSP Ford on reports that a body was found and a video recording linking Vybz Kartel to the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams was leaked, however this was also denied by the Officer. The trial will continue tomorrow with SSP Forbes back in the witness box.
